A new journey

Next month I am joining my second class on shimelle.com called Learn Something New. I am excited to scrap this journey in a new and exciting size (6×6 instead of my normal 12×12) and also to have a document of one of the early months of us settling here in the UK.

I will create a separate category for this class for ease of following as I may post randomly for other things during this period.

Today we got our prep notes and I am expecting a package tomorrow hopefully with my kit of goodies bought from Shimelle.

Here’s to a great month of learning and documenting these lessons!!!

Letters/Numbers

This is my last one…I am knackered. I think I will do all the rest just for my own satisfaction but here’s hoping all the fun I had results in a prize (or multiple!!!) I believe all the prizes are random so I may just get there. We will see. I will know on Wednesday. Which also happens to be my first payday, hurrah! Anyway, here is my last page for the challenge:

Pink Card

I knew a challenge would come up with pink involved…somehow because my sister loved the colour so much when she was younger I grew a rather unreasonable dislike towards it…I still veer away from it but I do have a few pretty pink papers (most have been bought and have sat with my paper stash for a while now…), so it was good to get some of the pinks out.

Squares

This was a fun page to make! I tried to make it messy…cos I think my style is normally quite clean…what do you think?

4 patterned papers

Here is a page I made quickly! Trying to meet the deadlines. : ) I have used 5 different papers in the weaving.

My first proper digi page!

I played around with a template that I downloaded from two peas I had a bit of trouble with my first template so tried this one and completely changed the colour scheme. : ) Seems I do the same digi as I do paper! I really enjoyed this process. Hope it is ok??? Oh, and I changed the colour of the pink polka dot alpha that we had to use since I don’t like pink…and it didn’t work! Anyway…let me know what you think, be honest!!!

My first proper attempt at digital scrapping

A few photos from today

The last challenge is released after 8pm but here are some photos I have taken today.
This is a photo of my scrapping bombsite!
Next is my “get in the image” photo. Watching Dave on his laptop.
Then we have a candid shot with a bit of editing for fun (and practice for me!)
and lastly for this post a shot from inside the house. These are some drawings I bought in Prague, Cezch Republic.
